Things to do in Charlotte

Running list of things I've done and plan to do in Charlotte! I have a bunch of friends visiting this summer so we've been trying to find the best activities!
Sleepy Poet Antique Mall, PlantHouse, South End, Queen Park Social, Pins Mechanical Co, French Quarter Restaurant, U.S. National Whitewater Center, Romare Bearden Park, Lake Norman

PlantHouse in Charlotte, United States

Calling all plant lovers! PlantHouse (the sign on the building actually says Plant Bar), has SO many different types of plants, and they have a DIY terrarium building station! They even have a bar so you can sip & shop while you find the perfect plant for you. Terrarium building is a perfect rainy day activity, but get there early because the lines get long!

South End in Charlotte, United States

South End is basically the place to be if you want to find the "younger" crowds (by young I mean 20's-30's). So many bars, breweries, and restaurants line the light rail trail, it's fun to just walk along the rail and see what's going on! It's a really easy walk from Uptown Charlotte. I love to wake up on Sunday mornings and walk along the rail trail to South End, and grab brunch at Suffolk Punch!

Similar to Pins Mechanical, Queen Park Social is giving adult arcade vibes. Perfect for larger groups!

French Quarter Restaurant in Charlotte, United States

This restaurant sits at the opening of an alleyway with so many cute, little bars and restaurants lining it! One bar is even a dedicated Manchester United soccer bar so we've spent a few weekends watching the games there.

U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, United States

You can kayak, whitewater raft, zip line, hike, bike, paddleboard, bungee jump, rock climb over the water, and so much more! I definitely recommend getting there early on a hot day, the lines to check in can get pretty long. If you do whitewater raft, choose to do the "adventure" option!

This park is right across the street from my apartment, it's a great place to lay a blanket down and dog watch!
