This is the hidden gem of Nola that not many tourists know about. It is the work of Ms. Leona Tate who is one of the four original children to Desegregate public schools in the U.S. She created this museum to show the world what it is like to live in Nola's Lower 9th Ward. They are closed on Mondays and open from 12-5 on all other days. It is definitely worth the time to stop by and see for yourself.

Popular among tourist who want to know what a day in the life of Nola would've been like in the 1850's. It is like a time capsule that captivates the everyday life of what an upper-class New Orleanian would've lived like in that era. Situated right off Jackson Square, be sure to stop by Tuesday-Sunday 9:30-4 p.m. and this Antebellum's Southern charm will greet you at the door.
