8 Great Bagels in NYC

Nothing hits the spot quite like a nice warm New York Bagel. And no matter what people say, you can't get them anywhere else in the world! Here are 8 of the best (in my opinion) places to get a bagel in the big apple.

      Another NYC Bagel shop with multiple locations around the city, Hudson Bagel is a good traditional style hand rolled New York Bagel. They've got good counter service and a bunch of different types of bagels and schmear to choose from.

      H&H Bagels have a few locations around the city. They still make their bagels the same way they started out in 1972, and they are delicious! They've been featured in many of the quintessential NYC sitcoms and movies like How I Met Your Mother and You've Got Mail. It's also the first place I tried a BEC on a bagel with cream cheese! It was a little weird at first but its sooo good!

      This is definitely one of my favorites for a bagel/bagel sandwich. New York City Bagel and Coffee shop has fantastic HUGE bagels. Seriously, sometimes I feel like they're the size of my head. Of course they're not but they are big so chances are after eating of of these you'll be set until dinner time (or a little later).

      Pick a Bagel also has multiple locations in NYC. They tend to be very busy in the morning so I'd recommend placing your order ahead of time to pick it up. Their bagels are great and they have a bunch of different flavors to choose from. I prefer the garlic bagel with bacon egg and cheese.

      Ess-a-bagel has multiple locations throughout the city so you won't have to look far to find one. The bagels are good and their sandwiches are piled high so you better be hungry when you order!

  • Amy's Bread in New York, United States

      Amy's Bread is a great little spot on 9th ave that has bagels, sandwiches, and pastries. The bagels are fresh and the bagel sandwiches are filling and delicious. Although anything you get from Amy's bread will be good, I promise.

      Murray's Bagels is another great traditional New York style bagel. Hand rolled and baked fresh daily, this is a great stop for your morning bagel and coffee.
