The best veggie places in Prague!
Reina Cartagena
As a foodie myself I know sometimes can be overwhelming coming to a new city not sure if you will be able to find a delicious place to eat, especially if you're vegetarian or vegan. But don't worry I got you! Im not vegetarian myself but every once in a while I do enjoy some vegetarian meals. There are many more places than this! Prague is very veggie-friendly.

A fancy place to have a good time with your friends and family, or your veggie business partners. Quite expensive but affordable for a special occasion even for Czechs (although definitely not a place I could afford too often). Near to the center, fancy, worth visiting if you are not on a tight budget.

Loving Hut is a wonderful vegan chain of restaurants and self-service food places. For instance, the branch located in Na Poříčí (near Florenc) has both options. In case you want to order a la carte and have a view on the main street you can choose it, in case you don't care about the view and just want to fill your belly, the self-service option is your choice. I have taken 3 of my male meat-eating colleagues to Loving Hut (the branch located at "Na Poříčí") and I was very pleased with their response. They told me they weren't sure whether to accept my invite to a vegan lunch (because they were afraid of the word "vegan", or better said of the fact whether a vegan food can be healthy and filling). I am happy to report that they all were happy. The food was "surprisingly" tasteful for them and also filling at the same time.

A great restaurant to go to for brunch/lunch/dinner with friends. Nice cozy atmosphere, nice people. The only thing I didn't like was the fact they had a menu for breatharians which, in my view (and in the view of every biologist), is clearly a pure crazinezz. However, in case you believe in the breatharian diet you can get something there, too, haha! Right in the center!

A very nice veggie self-service place with many branches around Prague. The best one, in my opinion, is the one at "Na Poříčí". It is the biggest one and it has nice outdoor seating places, too. The food is mainly Indian but there are daily choices of European (and especially Czech cuisine meals). Most dishes are vegetarian but there are always sufficient choices for vegans, too. Prices are still growing. If you are not too hungry, 100 CZK will feed you, if you are hungry, expect to pay about 150 to 180 CZK. The meals are very tasteful though!!!

Mlsná kavka, Czech Republic

Mlsná Kavka means "Sweet-tooth jack-daw", and that's exactly what it is. The meals are delicious. You will appreciate a very delicate taste of dishes with a bit of this and a bit of that :-) which would be very non-economical to cook for yourself only. Great lunch menu value (soup + main meal). The restaurant employs people who have some kind of struggle in life (such as people with psychiatric diagnoses). Those folks are really nice though! You don|'t have to be afraid, they really do their best. And you, by eating at the place, also support a good cause (giving a space for people "in need" to practice and fit in the society).

Very nice, rather new place. Recommend for fast lunches right on the metro station. So perfect for the go.

A vegan self-service restaurant chain + organic vegetarian/ vegan food store chain. Usually, they have either just the food store or both. Healthy affordable meals. Also, they have a point program in which every 100 CZK paid you to get 1 point. For 30 points you get a free meal, which is a nice bonus.

Podolka, Czech Republic

Cool place with great staff offering all kinds of regular ( meat/dairy/egg-based) meals as well as special diets ( vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free, etc). All the regular meals are organic though, so everyoneone can eat here without any blame. So you can come with your carnivore friends and everyone would be happy. Close to the center and good prices.

Delicious Mediterranean food! The falafel is so yummy! It's a small bistro so take into consideration that it might be busy on normal days. You can always take it away and enjoy it at home.
